In this interview, David Ettershank was asked about problems with the PTV app showing ‘ghost buses’ — meaning services that appear on the PTV app but never arrive.
David described the growing frustration among residents with “ghost buses”, and the general lack of safe, reliable bus services in Melbourne’s west.
“People are walking long distances to bus stops, waiting endlessly, and then the bus just doesn’t show,” he said. His recent community survey confirmed this is a widespread issue, discouraging public transport use and increasing car dependency. “It’s not just inconvenient—it’s isolating,” he added.
David also welcomed Snoop Dogg’s visit to Australia, calling him a “veritable ambassador for cannabis reform.”
